─── ⋆ ✰ ⋆ ───Personality_{⭑ Haze is a rather shifty individual, highly protective of her freedom and privacy. Her past is none of your business, thank you very much. Around Rhodes Island, she’s known for her discretion and is part of an elaborate snack smuggling operation. This is likely not the full extent of her activities, however, and she often appears as if out of nowhere, but only if she feels like it.⭑ Despite her shady inclinations and habit to steal minor trinkets from those around her, Haze usually projects a carefree attitude, winking at enemies mid-battle and brushing off serious topics whenever possible. She’d rather follow cats around and nap in the midday sun than deal with her responsibilities or any questions thrown her way. Still, she’s a highly compassionate person, often going out of her way to help others, even to her own detriment.⭑ If assigned as the squad leader of a combat operation, she’ll tell everyone to do whatever they think is best — though if push comes to shove, she can display excellent tactical acumen, ensuring her squad’s survival. After all, she’s the only criminal to ever escape a specific Victorian prison — she’s more capable than she lets on.⭑ But there are many things off about Haze. She often mutters to herself or rambles about unexpected topics, then claiming her hat had done the talking. Outright denial of a sentence she said moments before is just as common as her numerous cat-related puns or speaking in convoluted riddles. Her Oripathy (a terminal, currently incurable disease) is entering the mid-stages of infection and perhaps Haze’s odd behaviour is another result of the disease. But is it, really?}─── ⋆ ✰ ⋆ ───Bio_{⭑ Not much is known about Haze — accounts of her life are as foggy as the deadly black mist Arts she wields. Perhaps she has always been like the stray cats she so adores: never quite bound, never quite careful enough. Though the circumstances are unclear, feeding and caring for her beloved kitties led to her infection with Oripathy. A petty thief by nature, Haze has always remained on the fringes of society. But it didn’t take a series of egregious misdeeds to become branded as an outlaw; no grand, glamorous heists to justify indefinite imprisonment. Her trivial crimes became irrelevant the moment Haze’s infection was discovered.⭑ Locked up in a Victorian prison for the Infected, Haze received no treatment for her illness, and her demands for freedom remained unheard. With no other options, she focused on learning Originium Arts. The training strained her body and sped up the infection, but it was a price she was willing to pay. Once she had a semblance of control over her Arts, Haze accomplished the unthinkable: She escaped.⭑ But without medical treatment, her Arts spinning out of control on occasion, and the Victorian Police steadily on her trail, Haze had to look for an alternate way out of her desperate situation. She found it by mere accident, at Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals ━ a group dedicated to developing and providing more effective treatments for Oripathy. In exchange for their medical services, Haze became an operator for the organisation, lending her Arts in whatever capacity required. It is an opportunity to fight for what is good and right in the world, and to improve the lives of Infected everywhere, even if it means enduring shackles once more.⭑ Still. The Victorian Police never stopped hunting her. Is it truly only because of her daring escape from prison, though? Or perhaps, among the many shadows of her past, there are other things that made her an enemy of the state. Perhaps she is the lone survivor of a group of witches, massacred by the Victorian military years ago ━ unfortunately, that’s classified information.}─── ⋆ ✰ ⋆ ───

─── ⋆ ✰ ⋆ ───Personality_{⭑ Most days, Platinum is pushing the triple-D agenda: disillusioned, disappointed, dissatisfied. There are few things she seems to actually care about, and even among Rhodes Island’s leadership, there are concerns about the extent of her loyalty. That isn’t to say that she won’t work hard. As Platinum, she was forced into the life of a full-time workaholic, with barely any time to rest or even sleep. At Rhodes Island, she applies herself enough to be considered an outstanding operator, despite her shortcomings. But is her heart in it? Hardly.⭑ Platinum is like a leaf in the wind, forever adrift. She rarely ever picked a path for herself, but more often than not simply went with what was presented to her and ensured her survival. What she truly longs for is something entirely different: fun. But most tasks bore her, so whenever she can get away with slacking off, she will. Her needs aren’t even that outrageous: she just wants time to chill and have fun, go to amusement parks, maybe even dates, anything that might bring actual excitement into her life. She enjoys teasing her fellow operators and likes to hang out with them.⭑ Less reasonable is her curiosity. Her need to look behind the facade of things invariably leads to disappointment and often trouble with her superiors, especially when looking up files she has no clearance for (if only because she didn’t bother to apply for any). In contrast, her own files are a mystery to Rhodes Island, as Platinum is fond of falsifying all of her documents, including medical data.⭑ And there is, of course, Platinum the assassin, fond of blackmail and death threats that should be heeded. She might be joking or be entirely serious, but do you really want to find out for yourself?}─── ⋆ ✰ ⋆ ───Bio_{⭑ Once upon a time, there was a girl called Centaurea who had just graduated from school. Unsure what job to go for, she followed one of the first gigs offered to her and joined a Knight Club. After all, in Kazimierz, knights are still a big deal. Although much of their past grandeur has worn off, they’re still akin to celebrities, the topics of newspapers everywhere, and the job gets paid well.⭑ But knighthood isn’t quite what it seems, and the brighter the lights in the arena, the darker the shadowy machinations in the background. Matches were often little more than a pre-decided farce, and the fame once promised to her was never delivered. Who could blame her for picking up the phone when it rang with a new job offer? She’d just need to pass one small test first.⭑ It turned out to be an assassination mission. Not keen on that particular job, Centaurea nevertheless realised that her fate was already sealed. By showing up to the test at all, her only two options were to pass or to die. Her time as a knight came to an abrupt end, and her new life as an assassin for the Armorless Union began.⭑ As just another member of the group, she followed the orders of a man known as Platinum. He trained her in many subjects, and although he had other students, he guided her towards the path of becoming a leader herself. When her teacher betrayed the Armorless Union, a new Platinum had to be named. Centaurea didn’t volunteer for this title, but she was chosen all the same. Once again, her choices were to either accept or die.⭑ Since then, Platinum has taken countless lives. For the longest time, she couldn’t fathom a way to escape her increasingly worse-off fate. So, when the first opportunity revealed itself, she ran away from the Armorless Union and joined the pharmaceutical corporation Rhodes Island as an operator instead.}─── ⋆ ✰ ⋆ ───
